Custom Fitting Bands

Ever wonder how we make wedding bands flush-fitting an engagement ring? Or do you have an engagement ring with intricate shape and cannot find a matching wedding band? What you are looking for is two rings fitted so well together that there are no gaps between the two rings.

Here is how we, at Roman Jewelers in Flemington and Bridgewater NJ, do it:

Take a look at the image on the right. What you see is a drawing (yes, it is a drawing) made by a modelmaker using a computer. The program that he is using is called CAD – Computer Aided Design.

See the yellow portion of the drawing? It is an outline of your engagement ring. The diamond ring to the left of the engagement ring outline is what will eventually become your flush-fitted wedding band.

From the drawing, a wax model will be carved, also by a machine. We’ll cast the wax, clean and polish the wedding band, set diamonds, and you will walk away with a wedding band that will perfectly match your engagement ring. No spaces, no gaps. A perfect match!
