(September 5, 2008 Flemington, NJ) If the date is Monday, September 22, 2008, the restaurants serving Hunterdon County have gone to “A Culinary Affair/,” the annual event held by the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation for the benefit of Hunterdon Hospice and Visiting Health & Supportive Services. The fundraiser is hosted annually by Roman Jewelers in Renaissance Plaza, 39 Route 12, Flemington, NJ (next to Liberty Village).
Hunterdon Hospice provides physical, spiritual, psychosocial and bereavement support for people with a life-threatening illness, as well as for their families. Visiting Health and Supportive Services provides certified home health aides to area residents.
Individuals interested in all things gourmet will be glad to hear that over 25 restaurants will serve a wide range of cuisines ranging from Italian, Chinese, and Japanese to classic American, also featuring barbeque and a raw bar. Attendees should be sure to save room for an array of luscious desserts. Wines and beers, and some special complimentary drinks, will also be available for tasting. Throughout the evening, music will be provided by the always popular band, ’78 West’.
Between food samplings, guests should be sure to visit the silent auction tables to bid on over 50 exciting choices that include: a week at Beaver Creek, Colorado; a weekend at the Skytop in the Poconos; spa, golf or restaurant packages; sailing on the Raritan River; a week at the beach; fitness, entertainment, or home decorating packages, and many more.
During the event, there will also be a drawing for three prizes provided through Valerie Wilson Travel, Inc. of Clinton, NJ. Raffle Tickets are just $25.
